Our History
The story so far...
Sunset Valley Construction was born in the summer of 2017, starting as a side job with a D41 dozer when my uncle approached me to regrade several acres of land and demolish a few barns and a house.
Itching for a change and excited for opportunity, I decided to take the leap into entrepreneurship. By spring 2018, I had hired our first full-time employee and invested in essential equipment, including a skid steer and a white 20 ton Deere excavator. While my previous job wasn’t without its challenges, I consider it my four-year degree in excavation.
Since then, we’ve grown from a one-person operation to a team of dedicated individuals. Today, Sunset Valley Construction has expanded its services from small demolition projects to building roads, providing full-service site work, and repairing municipal infrastructure, becoming a vital part of our community.

Serving Hartford, CT and surrounding areas.
Sunset Valley bids and executes work within a 1 hour radius of our office in Ellington, CT. Occasionally though, when the right client or project comes along, we'll venture further. At the end of the day, we're a people focused company, and part of that is keeping our people close to their families and homes.
